Betaflight is a firmware used to fly multi-rotor and fixed wing crafts. Its main goal is improving the way you fly your drone by focusing on leading-edge feature additions, wide target support, and flight performance. However, you first need to download the Betaflight — Configurator to set up your quadcopter in Betaflight. Once you do, you can go through all the necessary setting changes you need to have better control of your drone.

To start, you will need to connect your FC to your computer where you installed your Betaflight — Configurator. Once you have successfully connected the app and your FC, you should see the setup tab where you can access the most basic functions and information about your quad. You can even calibrate your FC by tapping the Calibrate Accelerometer button. This will give you a 3D model of your quad that mimics the movement directions of the physical version. The app also lets you configure your peripherals or the external devices connected to the flight controller using a URT.

To do this, click the Ports tab which contains all the necessary settings you need to set up your external devices. Betaflight — Configurator comes with various basic settings related to your drone's flight performance. You can even change the craft name displayed in the Betaflight OSD for a more personal touch.
